003- To Autumn

I have invited my bestie to have another birthday celebration, I randomly chose "To Autumn" (秋香） in open rice is seems cool in the pictures! I never been to Tuen Mun after I comeback in the US, I wasn't expect much but it actually surprised me!

When I first walk in the interior is very hipsy Hong Kong style izakaya, like you are in a different zone where you can leave all the business behind and just chill here with your besties. I think the restaurant is very easy going down to earth, like you will have no pressure to understand the menu or worry about your dress code, this is a R&B vibe kind of restaurant !

To Autumn have their own beer provider, their beer come from Hong Kong Black kite Brewery, I never see this beer brand in any other bar or restaurant. I always like bar supporting local business, so that is a extra point for me! I ordered "oh, bacon" smokey flavor, nice beer to start my night.

To be honest, the food in To Autumn is pretty fair! No food I was disappoint or upset price range is acceptable! The most memorable food of the night will be the eel clay pot rice and the sake cooked clams. The eel clay pot rice is like a Japanese Chinese fusion, but their eel is so fatty, I love it! Worth a try! And their clams is my favorite, their clams is big, meaty and sweet. They cooked the clams with sake and tomato, first time ever seeing people add tomato to sake cooked clams. Not complaining at all cause is delicious!

But what makes me want to go back is their hospitality! Their boss is super funny, he is like a big brother, he can and he will bro with everybody! We over heard him talking to another table, that they should play a game, the game is everybody need to share a happy thing that happened to them recently. That have me thrilled, that is the funniest drinking game! A second I though he is high or drunk, only in that situation you will suggest to play show and tell!!! LOL

When we are leaving the boss keep thank you us and say we need to eat more (dude I am thick), happy birthday be happy!! I just have a good time, I think that's important is nice food, great atmosphere and good time with friends! How can I not want to go back!
